Leah grew up in a very musical family, (her parents performing a concert for friends and family only to announce they would be married following the show) and has been singing since she was a toddler. Her mother, a music teacher, loved to coach and share her musical education with Leah, and encouraged singing for church, special events and talent competitions from a very young age. In high school, Leah's father invested a great deal in continuing that education through theater, choir, acapella group, and audio engineering/ performance audio classes. He also built a recording studio in their home, always encouraging her to practice her music, continue her songwriting. His motto being "if you’re going to do something, do it 100%", and of course he always provided the tools to do so.

Leah was discovered by Bigtime Entertainment in 2009 and hired as a karaoke host on the spot. Trained by some of the best in the industry she began hosting for them at multiple local venues, hosting theme nights, parties and developing her emcee skills. She was quickly promoted to show manager and began assisting the owner with more administrative responsibilities. When the time came for Bigtime Entertainment to change directions and cease service locally, Leah was given the opportunity to purchase the last remaining equipment from a show she had been running for some time, ironically at the same venue where she was discovered years before.

At this point Leah filed for a business license under Torchlight Entertainment and has spent over a decade refining her natural talent for hosting all types of events along with providing day-of coordinator services and entertainment for weddings ever since.
